What to expect
Lyric Hero is made by a small independent studio, so a real person reads every message. We aim to reply within a few business days. Account deletion and privacy requests are handled first.
Frequently asked questions
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Settings (the gear on the home screen) and tap Delete Account, then confirm. This permanently removes your profile, username, progress, and leaderboard entries. It cannot be undone. If you can no longer open the app, email lamarr@cloudhive.io from the address linked to your account and we will help.
Do I need an account to play?
No. Choose guest play to start right away. Guest runs are not saved to leaderboards. Sign in with Apple or Google when you want to keep your progress and compete on the weekly and category leaderboards.
Why am I not on the leaderboard?
Leaderboards require sign-in. Runs played as a guest are not posted. Sign in with Apple or Google, choose a username, and your next completed runs will count. Weekly boards reset each week.
How does the explicit-lyrics filter work?
The filter is on by default and keeps questions with curse words out of your games. To change it, open Settings and use the Lyrics Filter option. You can turn it back on the same way.
The song is not playing. What can I do?
Song audio plays through the official YouTube video shown in the question. If you hear nothing:
- Check that your ringer or silent switch and volume are up, and that Bluetooth audio is going where you expect.
- Make sure you have a working internet connection. Wi-Fi or mobile data is needed to stream the video.
- Tap the play control in the embedded player. Some devices wait for a tap before starting audio.
- Use the retry option if the app says playback failed, or move on to the next question.
- A small number of videos can be unavailable in some regions or removed by their owners. If one song never plays, report it to us.
I think my answer was right but it was marked wrong.
On the answer screen, tap I think I was right. That sends the question and your answer to us for review, and we use those reports to fix questions and improve grading. Your score for that run will not change, but future players benefit from the fix.
How does team mode work?
Team Play is a pass-the-phone party game on one device. Each turn, a reader from the other team holds the phone, reads the lyric, controls the hint and answer clips, and taps Correct or Incorrect.
What data does Lyric Hero collect?
Only what we need to run your account and the game. There are no ads and no tracking. The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
